kelly’s Story
Kelly adopted a plant-based lifestyle at 5 years old after learning where meat comes from, and she never looked back! Participating in animal rights activism as a young adult led her to the vegan lifestyle which opened her eyes to the power of plant-based nutrition. Learning the science, and experiencing the benefits of this healthy eating pattern over the past 15 years helped Kelly to realize that her purpose on this earth is to promote plant-based diets and help others to adopt this compassionate eating pattern.
Kelly received a bachelor’s in Food Science and Human Nutrition from Colorado State University and completed her master’s and dietetic internship at the University of Florida. Since becoming a registered dietitian 8 years ago, Kelly has gained valuable experience in a variety of settings, helping people improve their health and quality of life through nutrition. She is a passionate believer in the healing power of food and has dedicated her career to supporting patients in the prevention and treatment of a wide range of health conditions.
Outside of her work as a registered dietitian, Kelly is the founder and executive director of a 501(c)(3) nonprofit sanctuary for farmed animals. With whatever time is left, Kelly loves to read, cook, exercise, and explore in nature, often paddleboarding the Springfed rivers of Florida.
