  • You don't need to eat cardboard to get down to single-digit body fat percentages.

These are just a few of the harmful lies and myths that keep guys from ever achieving the ripped, strong, and healthy bodies they truly desire.

And I'm going to teach you something that most guys will never know...

Before I dive into how, though, let me introduce myself.

I'm Leif.

(Yes, it's an uncommon name, but I freakin' love it. It's pronounced 'Lay-F' and rhymes with the word 'safe')

I'm on a MISSION to help people BUILD MUSCLE and SUPERCHARGE THEIR HEALTH on a vegan diet.

Like most people, I don't like chronic disease, animal abuse, or global warming, so I've learned how to build an impressive physique on a high protein, whole food vegan diet filled with micronutrients to keep me healthy and fit while saving animals and the planet.

But it hasn't always been this way...

I MADE EVERY MISTAKE IN THE BOOK IN MY JOURNEY TO BUILD MUSCLE AND KNOW WHAT WORKS AND WHAT DOESN'T.

I don’t have outstanding genetics and wasn’t ripped my entire life. I was your normal meat-eating skinny kid that got into weightlifting to impress girls, and I had no clue what I was doing at first.

Here's a picture of me after 5 years of regular lifting, with no extended breaks due to injury, illness, or otherwise.

5 YEARS OF MEAT GAINS

During those 5 years, I made a lot of mistakes. I was consuming whey protein shakes 3 times per day, as much as 8 eggs at breakfast, 2 chicken breasts for lunch, and enormous beef dinners. I also ate quite a bit of fish (in this photo I'm eating raw fish I had just speared in Maui...barbaric and disgusting, I know). These were all foods that fitness gurus told me were healthy and key for building muscle.

I also did a lot of long (2+ hour) high-rep workouts consisting mainly of isolation exercises that I topped off with all the supplements the bodybuilding magazines sold me.

Sure, I made some gains...but not the type of gains you'd hope for after 5 years of lifting 5 to 6 days per week.

The reason I was making so little progress was because I made every mistake you could imagine:

  • I had no clue how to eat properly for peak health and gym gains. I thought it was all about "clean eating" with tons of meat, dairy, and eggs.
  • I wasted ridiculous amounts of money on worthless supplements like mass gainers, preworkouts, and BCAAs
  • I focused on long, high-rep “pump” workouts that left me feeling tired and bored
  • I relied on ineffective exercises and neglected the most important ones
  • I did too much cardio--both too many sessions and for too long each session
  • I changed my workout routines regularly to really “confuse” my muscles
  • I didn’t track my progress correctly
  • And more...

In short, I did what you see most people doing every day, and paid the price in years of wasted time and effort.

Plus, my lifestyle took a MAJOR toll on my health.

In 2013, I was diagnosed with Langerhans Cell Histiocytosis (LCH), an incredibly rare form of cancer. After my diagnosis, I went through a month of hell that included countless doctor visits, invasive tests, and petrifying visits to oncology centers.

I thought I was going to die.

And just when I felt like the end was imminent, my oncologists told me the cancer hadn't spread. I was relieved, but my journey was only beginning. I vowed to do everything I could to make sure I never experienced such trauma again.

I became consumed with researching natural cancer prevention and discovered the incredible benefits of a whole-food, plant-based vegan diet. After hundreds of hours of research, I went vegan in May 2014. I still wanted to pursue my bodybuilding aspirations, but didn't think there was a chance I could make gains without animal protein. I didn't care though, staying disease free was all that mattered.

But as I became immersed in the vegan lifestyle, I started seeing vegan bodybuilders with the same ripped physiques I had been striving for! I realized that there MUST be a way to gain muscle on a vegan diet, so I began my vegan bodybuilding journey.

Ironically, my past struggles have helped me tremendously in showing others how to get healthy and fit.

I've been vegan for over 3 years. I got these results from eating a high protein, whole food vegan diet and lifting heavy weights 5 days a week for 1-hour workouts. I still have a long way to go to achieve my fitness goals, but I've made a lot of progress.

I don’t know about you, but I have a hard time taking fitness advice from someone that doesn’t look the part. I want to follow people that have done exactly what I want to do, not people that just talk about doing it.

I don’t care how many degrees someone has or how smart they sound...if they haven’t achieved success with their own advice...or if they’re too lazy to do it...I’m skeptical.

I STAY PRETTY STRONG, TOO...

So, the bottom line is I know exactly what it’s like to be stuck in a rut...to have no clue if I’m training correctly...to boggle over how to eat to get lean...to deal with injuries...to want to give up...and to have just about every other problem most people grapple with.

And now, having overcome these problems myself...I know with 100% certainty what it takes to put them all to rest and finally achieve the type of physique and strength most guys in the gym have always wanted.
