Coach Mackenzie’s Story
Mackenzie is a NASM Certified Personal Trainer, Women’s Fitness Specialist, and Nutrition Coach dedicated to helping women build body confidence through balance and empowerment.
A lifelong lover of movement, Mackenzie grew up in cheerleading and color guard before discovering Zumba after high school. Following a severe car accident that fractured her pelvis and collarbone, she took Zumba classes in a wheelchair and became an instructor soon after relearning to walk. Not long after, she rejoined color guard as part of The Mighty Sound of the Southeast at the University of South Carolina. Inspired by the physical therapists who guided her recovery, she later transitioned into personal training to help others experience that same transformation, going from where they are to where they want to be.
Mackenzie’s vegan journey began in 2017, shortly before she started coaching. Influenced by her brother, a longtime vegetarian turned vegan, she made the switch after learning about the dog meat trade overseas and realizing there was no difference between her beloved dog, Nala (Nay-la), and other animals. What began as an ethical choice soon deepened into a lasting appreciation for the health and environmental benefits of a plant-based lifestyle.
Since 2018, Mackenzie has helped countless women become the strongest, healthiest, and most confident versions of themselves. Her coaching philosophy is rooted in empathy, encouragement, and balance, creating a supportive space where women can thrive, build strength, and develop confidence that extends far beyond fitness.
Outside of fitness, Mackenzie enjoys spending time with her husband and their three fur babies, and she cherishes moments with family, especially her grandparents. She is also passionate about music, having written and recorded several projects, and loves expressing herself through alternative fashion.
